Gudel Secondary School

श्री गुदेल माध्यमिक विद्यालय कोशी प्रदेश,सोलुखुम्बु जिल्लाको सुदुरपूर्वको महाकुलुङ गा.पा. ४ वडा अन्तर्गत २७º२९“५५” उत्तरी अक्षांश र ८६º४८“२५” पूर्वी देशान्तरमा अवस्थित छ संसारको सर्वोच्च शिखर सगरमाथाको तल्लो फेदीमा किराँत मुन्दुमको केन्द्र सिलुछोको काँखमा समुद्र सतहदेखि १९०० मिटर उचाई तथा उच्च पहाडी सितल हावा पानी तथा जलवायुले रमाईलो वातावरणको सुन्दरता सहित यस विद्यालय स्थापित छ । यस विद्यालयले महाकुलुङको वडा ४र ५ आफ्नो सेवा क्षेत्र भित्र समेटेको छ । प्रधानपञ्च श्री किताब सिं राईको अगुवाईमा गुदेल गाउँ पञ्चायत भित्रका बुद्धिजीवीहरुको सरसल्लाहले हालको गुदेल गाउँभन्दा माथि सामहुस्को भन्ने ऐलानी जग्गामा सर्वसाधारणबाट चित्रा र भकारी जम्मा गरी अस्थायी टहरो बनाई बि.सं २०१७ सालमा सामुदायिक विद्यालयको रुपमा स्थापना भएको हो । हाल वि.स.२०७१ सालबाट कक्षा १२ सम्मको पठनपाठन कम्प्युटर विज्ञान सहित गुणस्तरीय शिक्षा र सर्वसुलभ निःशुल्क शिक्षाको लागि तत्पर भई अघि बढिरहेको एक सामुदायिक विद्यालयको रुपमा परिचित छ ।

Shree Gudel Secondary School is located in Ward No. 4 of Mahakulung Rural Municipality, Solukhumbu District, Koshi Province, in the far eastern region of Nepal. Geographically, it lies at 27º29’55” North latitude and 86º48’25” East longitude, situated at an altitude of 1,900 meters above sea level. The school is beautifully established at the foothills of Mount Everest, nestled in the lap of Silichung Hill, the spiritual center of the Kirat Mundhum culture. The cool mountain air and pleasant climate make the surrounding environment peaceful and attractive.

The school serves the students of Wards No. 4 and 5 of Mahakulung Rural Municipality. Under the leadership of Mr. Kitab Singh Rai, the then Village Panchayat Chairman, and with the consultation of local intellectuals, the school was established in 2017 B.S. as a community school. It was first built on public land known as Samahusko, located above Gudel village, where temporary sheds were constructed using contributions of grains and materials collected from the villagers.

Since 2071 B.S., the school has been upgraded to offer classes up to Grade 12, including Computer Science. Today, it is recognized as a community-based institution dedicated to providing quality and free education to all students in the region.
